Oats typically grow with a tightly attached hull. In order to make oat groats they are dehulled which causes physical damage to the groat requiring steaming which prevents oils from becoming rancid but also cooks the seed. Our Hulless Oats grow without hulls meaning that they are raw right rolled and cooked, baked into cookies, or made into oatmilk. Because they are raw these are best stored in the freezer until use.
