Grown as a winter companion crop with wheat or triticale, these peas fix nitrogen to increase yield. They also make excellent feed for livestock if harvested green and made into silage. The downside is that we end up with peas mixed into our grain. We split them our while cleaning the grain and realized that they make excellent soup (and we’ve been told tempeh too). These are a limited volume item, available only while supplies last.
